Ham Sandwiches

1 ½ sticks butter or margarine (I use butter)
1 ½ TBS poppy seeds
1 TBS prepared spicy mustard
1 ½ TBS Worcestershire sauce
1 ½ TBS Onion flakes
​½ LLB. Shaved ham – 2 thin slices per sandwich

6 slices Swiss cheese – ½ slice per sandwich
12 Rolls – Sweet Hawaiian Rolls
  1. Slice rolls, top with ¼ slice of Swiss cheese, then 2 thin slices ham, top with another ¼ slice of cheese replace top.
  2. Heat first 5 ingredients, pour over the made sandwiches and marinate covered overnight. 
  3. ​Bake at 350, uncovered, for 10-15 minutes or until cheese melts.

Spinach Mandarin Horseradish Salad

​2 Pkg. Spinach
2 small cans Mandarin Oranges drained
1 cup small curd cottage cheese
1 cup sour cream
3 TBS horseradish
½ cup sugar
3 TBS white vinegar
1 ½ tsp. dry mustard
1 tsp. salt
Pecans – I candied mine recipe below
  1. Prepare dressing – shake together sour cream, horseradish, sugar, vinegar, dry mustard, salt (I use a mason jar)
  2. Toss Spinach, pecans & cottage cheese, add dressing serve immediately.

Candied Pecans
1 cup sugar
1 ssp. Ground cinnamon
1 tsp salt
1 egg white
1 TBS water
1 pound Pecan halves
  1. Preheat oven to 250 – Mix sugar, cinnamon & salt in a bowl. 
  2. In a separate bowl wish egg white & water. 
  3. Toss pecans in egg white mixture then transfer to sugar mixture tossing until pecans are evenly coated. 
  4. Spread on a baking sheet stir every 15 minutes until evenly browned approximately 1 hour.
