Government of the Club

  1. The government and management of the Club shall be vested in the Board of Directors, composed of Officers of the Hunt and six Directors elected by the Hunt.
  2. The terms of office of Officers and Directors shall be as follows: The President, Secretary and Treasurer shall be elected for a term of one year; the Master or Joint Masters of Fox Hounds for a term of two years; and the Directors for a term of three years, respectively. At each annual meeting, two Directors shall be elected to fill the vacancy created by the expiration of the term of the Directors whose term of office then expires, so that at all times there shall be six Directors elected from the active membership of the Club.
  3. The Board of Directors shall have the power to fill any vacancy occurring in the Board for any cause other than the expiration of the term of office. Any person so chosen to fill a vacancy shall serve for the unexpired term of the Director whose term is thus filled. 
  4. The Board of Directors shall have full power and authority to prescribe the manner in which the business and affairs of the Board shall be transacted, the time and place for holding meetings of the Board, the manner in which such meetings shall be conducted,
    and the notice thereof which shall be given.
  5. The Board of Directors shall constitute the Admissions Committee. Any candidate for election to membership shall be proposed
    in writing by at least two active members or associate members. 
  6. The Board of Directors shall have the power to suspend or expel members for the infraction of any of the rules and regulations
    of the Club.
  7. At any meeting of the Board, the presence of not less than five members shall be necessary to constitute a quorum unless the presence of a greater member is required by law, in which event the quorum shall be in such number as the law requires. 

Board Meetings

  1. ​The annual meeting of the Members of the Hunt shall be held on the third Tuesday of April in each year at the Club House at 7:00 PM unless the time or place is otherwise ordered by the Board of Directors.
  2. Special Meeting of the Members of the Hunt may be called at any time by order of the President, or by three members of the Board of Directors, or upon written request by five active members, on notification thereof to the Secretary, who shall notify all active members by mail at least five days prior to the date for such special meeting. Every request for a special meeting made by five active members shall state the object for which the meeting is desired.
  3. Written notice of every meeting of the members shall be mailed to each active member at least ten days prior to the date named for the meeting. Notice of any meeting may be waived by certificate to that effect, signed by the members so waiving notice, and filed with the records of the meeting either before or after the holding thereof. Notice of any special meeting shall state the object of the meeting, if practical.
  4. At the meeting of the Membership only active members shall be entitled to vote. A quorum shall consist of eleven (11) active members.
